Introducing Happyface

As we moved around, stretched our virtual legs, soaked in the evening setting sun in the horizon,
we decided to call it
the 'Happyface World'

"Happyface"
is an endearing 'box' human with a smiling, happy face,
with arms that bend, and feet that jump off the ground as it runs.
It runs amok in an immersive 3D world.

Happyface has a video feed on top of the head, of whoever is in control of it, and realtime video/audio of their expressions with their voice.
Happyface runs amok inside 'Ultimate World', a platform we are building - in which anyone can design their own happyface and a world to run inside.

For months, we met on the 'Happyface' Ultimate World
sharing this space with friends and loved ones, meeting them within it.
It was free, accessible on mobiles - and all it needed was a url to click.

With a built in spatial audio functionality, UW has a much more humane version of 'breakout rooms' which you dont need to break into and break out of,

We could drive away in car to explore the world alone, for times we wanted to break away from a conversation.

We could share our respective device screens on approaching this giant screen in this world which everyone else in this world could see,

We could share our plans and thoughts in an intimate, humane user interface,
we wanted to share this with the whole world -

An immersive, avatar based, 3-dimensional (to begin with)
world aesthetic
which was unique to you,
which you could design and create
which anyone could access on your browser,
through phone or tab or computer.

We made an intimate, open metaverse, before 'metaverse' became a buzzword,
before Facebook became Meta and before it was extremely hard to explain to those who didnt know of us- that the Metaverse was the future of the internet.

The internet is as humane as the humans who create the Tools and Technology to build it. The understadning of what a 'Metaverse' is expansive right now, to say the least, but if we're conscious and mindful, it might be truly for all of us.

In the future, which is the metaverse,
the metaverse will be the internet.
Could we / Can we,
through Ultimate World
manage to create an open Metaverse for all?

The possibilties, I know,
are endless.

The answer, for us, lies in this exploration.
